How did it start?
Atlantis Armona (3517sdwt) was the first vessel constructed in the Straits of the Dardanelles at Gelibolu Shipyard with Construction Number 023 starting in 2002 and completed in 2004.
The Atlantis Alvarado (3502 sdwt) followed carrying number 24. She was delivered in 2005.
As the partnership with owners of the Gelibolu Shipyard comes to an end Armona continues construction of the Atlantis Aldabra (3503 sdwt) at Tuzla's shipyard Celik Trans. Newbuilding number 028 was completed in 2005.
The last vessel of this series of size was the Atlantis Acra (3504 sdwt). Acra carries the NB No. 29 and went on maiden voyage in 2007. After operating for a year she was sold to Swedens Svithoid Tankers AB.
In 2007 Armona contracted in turnkey workmanship the first two tankers of the 6000 series again in Tuzla, but this time at Yildirim Shippyard with builder number 116 and 117, completing both 2009. Atlantis Antibes, 5658 dwt and Atlantis Alhambra, 6400 dwt.
Beginning of 2008 two further 6000 mts vessels were contracted with the neighboring yard Istanbul with building numbers 21 and 22. Atlantis Andaman, 6400 dwt and Atlantis Almeria, 6400 dwt.
In September 2015 the construction of 2 new tankers of 5850 dwt started.
NB 149 Atlantis Augusta was built in Tuzla at Selay Shipyard and was launched in January 2017.
Atlantis Alicante NB 77 was constructed at Selah Shipyard in Tuzla and went on her maiden voyage in September 2017.
